Medicinal Cannabis Debate

APCANNA the Portuguese Cannabis Information Association – is organising its first PTMC TALKS- Conversations on Medicinal Cannabis at the Forum Machico Auditorium on Saturday the 5th of September 5 between 10 am and 12:30 pm, with the aim of informing the general public of the therapeutic potential of Cannabis.

The talk will begin with the screening of “Patients,” a documentary by Laura Ramos, journalist and president of APCANNA.  This will be followed by a lecture on the Endocannabinoid System by nurse Soraia Tomás, postgraduate in GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Process) for Medicinal Cannabis and then a debate at which questions will be taken.

The debate is open to the public and will be attended by Telmo Ponte from the Public Security Police  and father of Guilherme, aged 14, who suffers from refractory epilepsy (conventional drug resistant epilepsy).  Other participants include Madeiran Activist João Costa, Vice President of CannaCasa and member of APCANNA, Laura Ramos and Soraia Tomás.

Admission to this event is free.
