The Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, has admitted that Madeira may experience some setbacks when the island opens its doors to tourists on the 1st of July. However, he assured everyone that the Region is prepared to meet any challenges that lie ahead.
The Minister used his weekly press conference to take stock of the current Covid-19 situation, saying that he is hopeful that everything will go well, especially as the island has already successfully dealt with localised outbreaks.
