Yesterday, the Madeiran Volunteer Firefighters (BVM) were called out to assist a 47-year-old man in Cabeço de Ferro, in Santa Maria Maior, who had leg injuries after being bitten by a dog. Later the same day, a second emergency call was made, as a 50-year-old man in Monte had also been bitten by a dog.
Both men were transported to Dr Nélio Mendonça Hospital for treatment.
