The Funchal City Council’s Department for Economy and Culture, in conjunction with the Municipal Civil Protection Service, has launched a new guide on ‘good health practices’ for trade and services, and aims to provide a single support platform to the region’s entrepreneurs.
In a press statement, the CMF President Miguel Silva Gouveia explained that “at a time when commercial establishments are resuming their activity, it is important to create a guide, which is easily accessible and which brings together easy to read new working practices which can be adopted by all business owners. Thus allowing them to re-open their businesses and comply with new safety regulations. Furthermore, this process must run smoothly and effectively, while complying with all health authority recommendations. All the information has been rigorously selected and provides clarification on a variety of subjects including general cleaning measures and customer care. It is a new phase in which we must all do our part to ensure that public health in the capital remains the number one priority.”
The guide is available at https://comerciodofunchal.wixsite.com/praticassanitarias. For ease of use, the guide is divided into individual business areas, such as bars and restaurants, physical and sports spaces, hairdressers and beauty salons, real estate, jewellers, laundries, ready to wear and footwear retail outlets.
