The Regional Secretary for the Environment and Natural Resources, Susana Prada, today attended the V MaRam Regional Conference, and during her address, confirmed that that more than six and a half tonnes of rubbish, including tyres, cigarette butts, buckets and other paraphernalia were removed from the regions sea and beaches during 2021.
This week, Front MarFunchal employees swam out and collected rubbish just off the coast of the Lido area. Articles of marine litter included a fish box, pieces of fishing net, bottles and plastic bags.
