With the worsening weather conditions, the Madeira archipelago is under orange warning for sea agitation, strong winds and rain due to storm 'Clement,' said the Regional Civil Protection Service, warning that the effects of the storm will continue until Wednesday.

The Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA) has issued a forecast saying that strong winds will affect the island tomorrow and Thursday. Due to the drop in temperatures, there may be a light dusting of snow on Madeira's peaks.
At 06.17 this morning, the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), recorded an earthquake registering 2.1 on the Richter Scale off the southwest coast of Ribeira Brava. The quake had a depth of 10 km.
Early this evening, the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere announced that between midnight tonight and 9 am Tuesday, the 20th of October, Madeira will be under an orange warning for rain, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms.
According to the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea, an earthquake registering 2.6 on the Richter Scale was recorded off the south coast of Câmara de Lobos on the evening of the 28th at a depth of 5 km.
The Portuguese Institute for Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), has placed Madeira under an orange hot weather warning for Tuesday the 25th of August and Wednesday the 26th.
Yesterday, the 18th of July, an atmospheric phenomenon occurred in Achada do Teixeira, as a mini tornado started to form.
Madeira should not be affected by the dust cloud from the Sahara, which is expected to hit the Iberian Peninsula on Tuesday.
Madeira is currently under an orange warning due to periods of heavy rain or showers accompanied by occasional thunderstorms.
