The Portuguese Institute for Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), has placed Madeira under an orange hot weather warning for Tuesday the 25th of August and Wednesday the 26th.
The warning, the third most serious on a scale of four, is only for the south coast and the mountainous regions of Madeira. The rest of the island, and Porto Santo will remain under a yellow hot weather warning for the same period.
