McDonald’s Portugal plans to recruit more than 60 people in Madeira by the end of the year, strengthening teams across its restaurants in the region.
Vacancies range from operational roles to management and leadership positions.
The recruitment drive forms part of the company’s campaign, “If life isn’t just work, choose McDonald’s,” which promotes flexible working hours and the opportunity to combine employment with studies and personal projects.
Launched at the beginning of the new academic year, the campaign is particularly aimed at young people entering higher education who are looking for work that can be fitted around their studies.
McDonald’s also highlights the training and professional development opportunities available to employees.
These include the UP Project, its national scholarship programme for employees in higher education. According to the company, more than 1,300 scholarships have been awarded since the programme was introduced.
The recruitment drive also includes restaurant management positions. Successful applicants will lead teams of around 50 employees and oversee areas including human resources, purchasing, financial management, quality control and food safety.
McDonald’s currently employs more than 12,000 people across its 222 restaurants in Portugal.
Applications can be submitted through the McDonald’s Portugal recruitment website, where candidates can select their preferred region and position.
