“Worst Flight To Date!”

On her Facebook page, singer Márcia recounts the experience of trying to reach Madeira when the airport was closed due to bad weather.

With two images captured from the Ryanair plane, the artist writes that it was “the closest we got to Madeira, yesterday, it was in this place somewhere in the sky, where we were gliding for an hour to try to land. The good news is that we were able to reschedule our concert,” this time for this Monday, the 23rd.

However, Márcia reports that this was her “worst flying experience to date.”She says: “after eight and a half hours locked in a plane, I can only guarantee that it was my first and last time that I fly with Ryanair. I know that today they managed to land because they took a risk; They do not deprive themselves of putting people in this type of anxious situation. Already yesterday they deprived everyone, including children and the elderly who had boarded in the morning, of hot meals until 5:45 pm – when they chose to take off again, from Porto Santo towards Lisbon.”

The singer goes on to state that: “I hope to arrive in Funchal, which I love so much, on Monday, the 23rd, and forget this terrifying experience. I will fly with Tap Portugal, with whom I feel safe and the certainty of humanity that they will not refuse me a glass of water, as happened yesterday to a member of my team. (Despite having held us for more than three hours on the ground, inside a plane. I never imagined people could be treated this way, but it happened.”

Márcia will perform tomorrow at 19:00 as part of the Funchal Book Fair celebrations.
