When asked this morning about the status of the Curral das Freiras cable car project, the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment, and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, stated that the public licensing has been resolved, but the initial construction dates are yet known.
“Licensing takes place in the Câmara de Lobos City Council, but from what we know and what depends on coordination in terms of licensing with the Regional Government (RG), the process was going well,” he said.
Regarding the status of the project and the exact location of the cable car, the minister says that it will be up to the project manager to answer the question, as it was not within the RG’s remit to know his decision in advance.
