Miguel Albuquerque assured that the Regional Government is “fully available” to collaborate with the judicial authorities in the proceedings taking place at the Madeira Electricity Company (EEM).
Elements of the Judiciary Police and of the Public Prosecutor’s Office carried out, this Tuesday, diligences at the Electricity Company of Madeira, an entity under the supervision of the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure.
In a statement, the President of Madeira stated:
“As I have always said, we are available to collaborate with any judicial functions of the State. I have no problem with that. But I can assure you that I am unaware of the actual situation.”
The statements follow the steps taken by the Judiciary Police at the EEM headquarters in Funchal, as part of ongoing investigations into the public company’s activities.
