The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Portugal, Zhao Bentang, was today received at the São Lourenço Palace by the Representative of the Republic for the Autonomous Region of Madeira, Judge Ireneu Cabral Barreto.
This meeting was also attended by the President of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, José Manuel Rodrigues, and the President of the Regional Government of Madeira, Miguel Albuquerque.
According to a note from the São Lourenço Palace, matters of common interest, at a cultural and economic level, were discussed in this new visit of the Chinese ambassador to the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
New meetings were scheduled between all those present, later this year, both in mainland Portugal and in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
