In a political statement, Carla Rosado took to the podium of the Madeiran plenary to remind all those present that yet again from the 23rd of February, it is impossible to book a flight from Funchal to Porto Santo.
She went on to say, that:
“A document has already been approved here in an attempt to safeguard the rights of the Madeirans and Porto Santo residents so that the Government of the Republic could carry out a public tender in a timely manner.”
However, in Lisbon “they have turned a deaf ear,” directly associating personalities such as “João Galamba and Pedro Nuno Santos” with this issue. Carla Rosado recalls that this attitude is recurrent in the Portuguese State and that, as always, the islands are left in the dark and without the means of adequate transport.”
Vitor Freitas (PS) has already defended António Costa and his peers, saying that there is litigation in court and that the Government of the Republic cannot anticipate this position.
