La Vie Shopping Centre, Funchal, which has been managed and marketed by Widerproperty since 2015, was acquired by real estate fund CA Património Crescente last week, with Square Asset Management SGOIC as manager of the Fund now owning La Vie da Madeira.
In the last 8 years, Widerproperty through its local and national teams, led by João Xavier, whose extensive experience in shopping centre management, has ensured that La Vie Funchal remains a community shopping centre. Widerproperty fulfilled their mission of turning La Vie from a downtown mall to a regional centre of excellence and today is the meeting point of Funchalenses, residents and visitors to the island.
The strategy included a marketing plan that attracted several exclusive and unique brands in Madeira, with the most recent being the IKEA Planning Studio scheduled to open this autumn, as well as host a series of original events, such as Mostra o que Vales as a stage for new talents in various artistic areas for Madeiran competitors. The Olympic Cycles initiative by which the former Olympic athletes, coaches and doctors who allowed the presence of Madeirans in Olympic Games are honoured in the permanent Hall of Fame, or the sponsorship of initiatives organised by other entities that by their merit and quality justify the support by La Vie Funchal.
