The Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, Paulo Cafôfo, starts a three-day tour of Madeira tomorrow as part of his Mission “Connecting Portugal to the Diaspora,” an initiative aimed to bring the diaspora closer to their country, based at boosting relationships with local government, companies, and society.
During the visit to Madeira, the Secretary will develop contacts with Mayors, the Regional Government, the Representative of the Republic, the Legislative Assembly, and society, establishing dialogue and promoting synergies with a view to deepening the appreciation and proximity of Portuguese communities to their homeland.
