After another night of extensive searches throughout Funchal, the family of 70-year-old Emanuel Martins Freitas, who disappeared from his home in Estrada Visconde Cacongo, in Santa Maria Maior on Wednesday, is still missing.
Talking to reporters, a family member aired their concern for Emanuel, who suffers from dementia, saying:
“Family and friends have been looking for him all night and we’ve not stopped looking. We’ve gone through several areas in Funchal with a fine toothcomb, yet despite our best efforts we have been unable to find him.”
Emanuel was last seen wearing a blue polo and a pair of jeans.
The family asks that if anyone knows of his whereabouts, or has any useful information, to either call the police or telephone 962 241 220.
