Several secondary streets in Funchal’s uppermost regions are already undergoing their Christmas light transformation. Work started on Saturday as people watched cables of lights being set up along several streets.
Several JM readers contacted the newspaper to express their surprise, especially as the main concentration of lights and people is in the city centre and Old Town, which currently remains unadorned.
