After a two-year hiatus, this year the Funchal City Council is promoting the 23rd edition of the “Funchal – Florida City” competition, an event dedicated to the expansion of the city’s green spaces.
This initiative has contributed and reinforced the image of Funchal as a “Garden City,” in the past, and this year, registration is taking place between the 1st and 31st of March. To enter you can either register online at www.cm-funchal.pt or, visit Quinta do Poço da Câmara, located on Estrada dos Marmeleiros, in front of the Parish Council of Imaculado Coração de Maria.

As in previous years, many garden enthusiasts are expected to take part in an event, whose main objective is to encourage everyone to create a “greener” image of Funchal, worthy of the epithet “Garden City.”
