A 45-year-old woman was attacked in her apartment in Figueirinhas this afternoon, by her father-in-law.
On reaching the scene both Public Security Police (PSP) and firefighters were horrified at the extent of the woman’s injuries. These included bruising to the face, abdominal pain and a suspected fractured arm.
She was immediately transported to hospital, and the PSP are investigating the attack.
