A 53-year-old tourist died this Sunday after feeling ill at the Bica da Cana Viewpoint, in the parish of Canhas, in Ponta do Sol.
The man, who was accompanied by his wife, began to feel ill and ended up falling to the ground.
Rescue teams were activated, but despite the efforts of the teams on site, he was eventually declared dead.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
