The Werewolves are returning to Câmara de Lobos, and they are ready for a night of challenges on land and at sea.
Organised by Câmara de Lobos City Council, the lively inter-parish competition will take place on the 15th of August from 21:00, against the spectacular backdrop of the town’s famous bay.
More than 50 competitors will represent the municipality’s five parishes: Câmara de Lobos, Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Jardim da Serra, Curral das Freiras and Quinta Grande.
Throughout the evening, teams will face a series of challenges designed to test their agility, strength and strategy. Cooperation and team spirit will be just as important as physical ability if they hope to claim victory.
According to the municipality, the return of the Werewolves revives memories of games enjoyed in years gone by, while giving them a modern and energetic new format suited to the setting of Câmara de Lobos Bay.
More than simply a competition between parishes, the event is intended to bring different generations together, strengthen community ties and celebrate residents’ connection to their local areas.
The council is expecting an enthusiastic crowd and is inviting residents and visitors to come along, cheer for their favourite teams and enjoy an entertaining summer evening by the bay.
Admission is free.
