Porto Santo is now accessible from any airport served by Turkish Airlines, following the introduction of a codeshare agreement with TAP Air Portugal.
While the Lisbon to Porto Santo route continues to be operated by TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines will now market the service through its own sales channels under the codeshare arrangement.
For example, flight TP1738 between Porto Santo and Lisbon is now also available to book through Turkish Airlines, despite being operated by TAP Air Portugal.
The partnership brings Porto Santo into the global network of Turkish Airlines, one of Europe’s largest carriers and a member of the Star Alliance. In practical terms, passengers can now begin their journey from any destination served by Turkish Airlines and travel to Porto Santo on a single ticket, with one fare and through-checked connections, eliminating the need to make separate bookings for each leg of the journey.
The agreement is expected to strengthen Porto Santo’s links with international markets by significantly widening the range of destinations from which visitors can reach the island. It also makes travel more convenient by providing seamless connections through Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network.
