At the Funchal City Council Meeting this Thursday, Jorge Carvalho highlighted the support for associativism and local accommodation
“We approved a set of support for different unprotected institutions in the municipality and discussed Local Accommodation (AL).”
The Mayor explained that the original six-month suspension period ends in March, and it will now be extended for an additional four months. The measure was approved by a majority, with only the abstention of the JPP.
Jorge Carvalho says that this will be the last extension, “as these four months allow all the legal procedures to be put into place when the regulation comes into force.”
When asked about the stance of Chega’s councilors regarding the PDM, the mayor explained that “the councilors left a set of recommendations, which are currently going through the usual procedures.” Jorge Carvalho added that the plan will be prepared in a mixed format, involving both external and internal entities.
