Over 70 nurses from the Emergency Service at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital submitted formal requests on Friday to be exempt from responsibility, according to JM, citing a local source. In total, 77 staff members have reportedly handed in the paperwork to SESARAM’s human resources, accounting for around 90% of the service’s current nursing team.
Based on the information gathered, the requests aim to highlight the inadequate conditions that compromise the safety of both patients and professionals, as well as the overall quality of care provided.
