A naked photo shoot involving a woman last week has caused condemnation by the municipality. Although it was not known if the photo shoot was amateur or professional, it certainly created a lot of comments from beach users.
When contacted by reporters, the Municipality of Machico confirmed that it was aware of the situation, stating, “this is not the promotion that is wanted from the municipality of Machico. There should be rules for the enjoyment of public space preserving the values of our society, which is traditionally more reserved.”
There are rules, and nudity is only allowed on designated beaches.
