Since April 2024, a volunteer (our Ursula) is at the Gorgulho/Lido Bus stop in the morning, assisting the tourists with bus information, thereby helping the bus drivers and residents as well. The tourists are nudged to have money or Giro cards in their hand when they enter the bus; they know that the last stop at the cable car is the best stop for them. They also receive information where to catch other bus lines.
This has been received well by the tourists and residents. The voluntary service will last until a SIGA sales and information kiosk is placed in the Lido area. The bus administration said that this is planned for February of 2025. We are looking forward to see that happen!
