The Party People–Animals–Nature (PAN) Madeira has announced a proposal for the creation of an Ecological Park in the West Zone of Madeira; an essential initiative for tackling the problem of invasive species and the forest fires that affect the Region.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the party said:
“Marked by a history of fires, the West Zone of Madeira needs an immediate and effective solution. With the creation of this Ecological Park, we propose a centre for innovation that will develop reforestation plans, promoting the recovery of the affected areas and the protection of local biodiversity. This intervention is particularly urgent in view of the damage caused by the August fires.”
To the Vice Spokesperson for PAN Madeira, Válter Ramos: “The creation of this Ecological Park is not just an environmental issue, but a commitment to the future of our island. We need to act now, restore what has been lost, and ensure that Madeira is an example of sustainability and preservation.”
The future of our environment and the quality of life of Madeirans depends on the decisions made now. PAN Madeira is dedicated to leading this change, ensuring that Madeira continues to be a space of natural beauty and rich biodiversity.
