The Government will formalise the creation of a new area for research for ARDITI, confirmed, Miguel Albuquerque, this morning during the presentation of a deep-sea project. During his address, the President of Madeira urged Europe to support more research, saying that European funding is much lower than in the rest of the world.
Of the 50 technology companies in the world, only four are European, which means that Europe is falling behind in terms of economic and scientific development to China and the United States of America.
Moreover, The President believes that the Azores and Madeira have reserves that are among the most important in Europe, as is the case of the Selvagens. “There should be funds to help maintain them.”
