The great scratch card scam has made news today.
One of the latest scams is that unscrupulous vendors are failing to destroy winning scratchcards after the amount has been paid out. This then allows scammers to re-use the card at another lottery outlet.
Jogos Santa Casa asks everyone to remember that only outlets with machines can make payments and that they should ensure that the scratch card is torn up or destroyed to prevent fraud. They also remind vendors that anyone caught contravening their rules and guidelines will have their license revoked.
They’ve also asked that any vendor caught breaking the law be penalised.
