In a statement, the Forest Police confirmed that they have identified the presumed perpetrator of a fire that broke out in the parish of Santo António da Serra.
“The individual is a habitual arsonist,” states an Institute of Forests, Conservation and Nature spokesperson, who confirmed that the Judicial Police had been called to the scene.
The perpetrator is now facing criminal proceedings.
