No More Bungee Jumping in Calheta

There is bad news for extreme sports lovers, in particular, bungee jumpers: The company that provided this experience in Praia da Calheta and attracted dozens of curious people will close.

The complaint was first made to JM by João Afonso, an aficionado of this 40m jump, which he undertakes once or twice a month, such is his passion.

Meanwhile, contacted by JM, Carlos Dionísio, owner of the company ‘Bungy Portugal’ that operated this attraction, confirmed the cessation of this activity, revealing, that he does not know why he had to close. This is because, he revealed, his venture has been the target of unknown pressures and complaints, which has forced the 53-year-old to make this decision.

The crane is due to be dismantled as early as this week.
