The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, will visit, tomorrow, at 11:30 am, the Centre for Reproductive Medicine at the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital.
According to the press release, the Centre for Reproductive Medicine has been able to carry out all fertility treatments in Madeira since the 18th of May, 2024.
Since its inception in 2014, the Centre for Reproductive Medicine has been authorised by the National Council for Medically Assisted Procreation (PMA) to provide techniques dedicated exclusively to intrauterine insemination, having won in 2024, the authorisation for the implementation of new AMP techniques (Assisted Reproductive Technology), namely in vitro fertilisation, intracytoplasmic injection, cryopreservation of gametes and embryos.
CMR has had a quality management system by the ISO standard, certified by APCER, since 2017.
The centre has already cost 700 thousand euros in equipment alone.
