According to the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA), two earthquakes have been recorded in two days.
The first one was off the north coast of Porto Moniz on the 24th and measured 1.2 on the Richter Scale. The second happened this evening at 16:53 off the northeast coast of the Desertas, and had a magnitude of 1.5.
