Sitting in silence in the atrium of the Jesuit College, in the rectory of the University of Madeira (UMa), students demonstrated peacefully, with posters, asking for better conditions for all UMa infrastructures.
Organised by the Academic Association, the gathering warns of problems such as the conditions of the canteen, the prices of meals, the state of the lavatories, and calls for work to be undertaken in the parking areas which are becoming dangerous.
They also want better facilities for scientific and research laboratories.
It should be noted that the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, present for the University Day ceremony, addressed the students to learn about the complaints.
