Access to the top of Pico do Areeiro will be closed to rental cars.
NewspaperJM, states that the Forestry Institute is already preparing an operation that consists of prohibiting the circulation of rent-a-car cars above the car park created on the site.
The goal is to put an end to the indiscriminate parking by tourists and improve traffic flow in the area.
Residents and taxi drivers are not included in the ban.
