Despite danger warnings posted throughout the Guindaste Viewpoint, Faial area; one of the main tourist attractions on the north coast of the island, people are still playing with their lives by ignoring the danger signs and walking going beyond what is justifiably safe.
Although the viewpoint has a glass platform, many tourists walk beyond the boundary limits to capture photographs of themselves on the precipice.
Local residents have asked for some form of policing of the area before a tragedy occurs.
