Marco Caldeira, Regional Director of Agriculture and Rural Development, visited Robert Kusch’s Quinta Alegre farm, which is mainly dedicated to organic horticulture production.
Located in Estreito da Calheta, it has a total area of 2,600 m2 and has benefited from regional budget funding for various projects. Moreover, the project is expanding and will soon double its original area.
The farm, which also invests in renewable energies, sells all of what it produces to support the Hotel, which is an integral part of the project.
