La Vie Becomes Madeira Plaza

La Vie has now become PLAZA Madeira.

With the rebranding, the shopping centres’ new management has said that they aim to create a must visit shopping centre for all those who live in Funchal and the rest of Madeira.

La Vie was recently acquired by the open real estate investment fund CA Património Crescente, a fund managed by Square Asset Management, and its management will be ensured by Multi Portugal, as of this Tuesday.

“Simultaneously with this change of management, a rebranding operation was carried out, which is why the shopping centre has been renamed, for a third time.  The management states that PLAZA creates a modern image and intimates that the area is more than just a shopping centre but a place for young and old to meet and socialise.

“The name refers to urban convenience, made up of symbolic exchanges and dialogue. The symbol represents the floor plan of the building and its 3 floors. It also refers to a meeting point, as it resembles a location pin.” Thus signalling that if you are hip and trendy, this is the place to go.

With the likes ofIKEA Estudo de Planização, Pepe Jeans, Sketchers, UCB, Geox, Scalpers and Flying Tiger are brands that PLAZA Madeira has exclusively, to which are added as main anchor stores Worten, Massimo Dutti, SportZone, Cortefiel, Tiffosi, Denim and the Pingo Doce supermarket, PLAZA’s management believe that they have everything to offer the modern Madeiran and visitor to the island.

In a statement they concluded by saying:

“It is with satisfaction that today we welcome and introduce ourselves to all Madeirans. PLAZA Madeira is much more than a simple change of image in an existing shopping centre. It is a new cycle that opens, with a new approach, with a very clear and consistent commitment to the quality of the experience provided and to having a commercial offer that responds to the needs and expectations of our visitors. We want to be part of the day-to-day life of Madeirans, a true meeting point where they can find what they want, whether shopping, leisure or entertainment. The challenge we leave is as expressed by our signature: “Come and visit us.” said Vitor Rodrigues, centre manager of PLAZA Madeira.

PLAZA Madeira will soon confirm its promotional launch campaign dates.
