The body of a man was found by lifeguards floating near Praia Formosa, Funchal, this morning.
After raising the alarm, members of the SR40 Lifeguard of Funchal retrieved the corpse from the water. They transported it to Pier 8, where members of the Maritime Police, Judiciary Police, Public Security Police, and coroner were waiting for it.
Information is scarce, but a source has said that it is the body of a man aged approximately 40 years old.
Once the body was certified dead, it was immediately transported to the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital morgue.
