The Funchal Sempre à Frente Municipal Group is pleased with the investment that the Funchal City Council will make, starting next year, through the payment of the social pass for students, residing in Funchal, between 12 and 23 years old, as well as through measures aimed at those over 65 years old.
For the PSD and CDS mayors, their free public transport initiative is a very comprehensive measure, not only because of its social component but also because it motivates more sustainable mobility, enhancing the use of public transport.
The coalition reinforces that the 2.5 million euros that Funchal will invest per year in mobility demonstrates the President of Madeira’s concern for promoting social policies linked to youth and longevity.
This is, for the municipal group Funchal Sempre à Frente, proof that it is possible to think about the city in a transversal way, in a policy that involves and benefits the entire population.
