Madeiran Wins Novo Verde Packaging Award

“We dreamed of this moment. We are in a region [Madeira] with immense access barriers. The money will help us with patent issues, locate and hire resources, and conduct more tests. The recognition will help with contacts and partnerships.”

This is how Thiago Gomes, CEO of the startup Bio Reboot, reacted to winning this award in an announcement made by Fernando Frade, from the Board of Directors of Novo Verde.

“It’s not just the monetary value, it’s also the emotional value… which is very strong,” said the young Madeiran who tomorrow will be one of the speakers at the Seminar ‘Circular Madeira, circular models and strategies in companies.’ The event will take place at the Museum of Electricity – Casa da Luz with the aim of teaching sustainability, innovation, and the environment.

Thiago Gomes will talk about ‘The Paradigm Shift. A Personal Experience.’ This is a project that, as Expresso – media partner of the Packaging Enterprise Awards – points out, was started three years ago and aims to use biodegradable seedbeds to replace disposable plastic trays and bags in agriculture. This project competed with three others, equally linked to sustainability and the environment.

Congratulations.
