A tourist was stabbed in the back this morning after putting up a fight when two men tried to rob him at knifepoint.
A foreign citizen was seriously injured after being stabbed following an aggravated robbery on Rua D Carlos I in the early hours of this morning after being attacked by two men.
A hospital source revealed to JM that the tourist had been admitted with severe back injuries and had been stabbed at least once.
The man was allegedly approached by two men on Rua D. Carlos I and was stabbed when he refused to hand over his wallet. The attackers fled the scene and left the tourist who was found by passers-by who found him lying on a bench in the Almirante Reis park, covered in blood.
The police were at the scene and took care of the situation.
