The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development this afternoon visited the Prazeres Horticultural and Fruit Supply Centre, where hay, straw, and cattle and sheep animal feed began to be distributed by livestock producers who were strongly affected by the fires that have devastated the municipalities of Calheta and Porto Moniz.
“The Regional Government provided immediate support to our cattle producers who lost animals and were left without pasture,” said Humberto Vasconcelos, who was accompanied by the Mayor of Calheta, Carlos Teles.
