The Casa do Voluntário Association will inaugurate, tomorrow, a new homeless project – a Development and Social Inclusion Occupational Centre (CODIS).
As an occupational centre, it aims to “support homeless people, with a view to the development of activities, the rehabilitation of their skills, social skills and socio-professional reintegration. This project is distinguished by the importance that is given to the stabilisation and promotion of mental health, which will include consultations and individual monitoring.”
Moreover, the project also aims to develop a team that implements occupational actions appropriate to the characteristics and vulnerability of homeless people, promoting employability and professional insertion within the workplace.
