As part of Supermarket Continente’s charity work, their Mission Continente, ‘Valleys that Come for Good’ donation will be delivered to the Neonatal ward of the Central Hospital of Funchal, on the 13th of September at midday.
The ceremony will be attended by the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, the President of the Board of Directors of SESARAM, Rafaela Fernandes, the Clinical Director of the Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, Júlio Nóbrega, the Coordinator of the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of SESARAM, Edite Costa and the Director of Operations of the Continent in Madeira, Jose Carlos Salvado.
The campaign ‘Valleys that Come for Good’ took place in the supermarket’s stores across Madeira, through the sale of solidarity vouchers which were available between the 26th of July and the 10th of September. All those who took part helped raise more than one hundred thousand euros for the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Medicine Service of the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, which takes care of all newborns, especially premature babies born in the Region.
In addition to the campaign ‘Valleys that Come for Good,’ charity has directly supported the unit with the expansion of the Neonatology service, providing fifty thousand euros for the acquisition of equipment.
