In a statement issued this afternoon, SESARAM warns its patients to be careful about being contacted by people posing as SESARAM employees asking questions about personal data, following the computer attack last Sunday, stating, “we want everyone to be aware that we do not ask these types of questions over the telephone.”
The Board of Directors of SESARAM also reported that it has established contact with the SPMS – Shared Services of the Ministry of Health – with a view to sharing information, which will take place this Thursday.
“Furthermore, vaccinations up to one year of age will resume tomorrow, the 10th of August,” added a SESARAM spokesperson. They ask that if anyone is unsure about what to do they could contact their nearest health centre.
“The investigation into the cyber attack has been handed over to the competent authorities,” confirms a statement, which reiterates that all “health centre users must take as much information as they have with them, including notes on allergies, and all clinical information they have in their possession, including examination reports, clinical analyses, medication, discharge notes, etc.”
