By the end of the year, IKEA will open a Planning and Ordering Studio in the La Vie Shopping Centre, Funchal.
This will be the tenth ‘hub’ that IKEA has opened in Portugal, after the recent opening in Vila Nova de Gaia.
CEO of IKEA Portugal, Ricardo Pereira, explained:
“Planning studios are currently IKEA’s main expansion tool in Portugal, and we believe very much in this format. This decision responds to the high demand of Madeirans for IKEA products, which already represent about 4 million euros of our sales per year in the region. Madeirans will thus be able to obtain enhanced access to IKEA products, in a space that is 100% dedicated to the planning of furniture and decoration solutions for various rooms of the house, with a special focus on kitchens and wardrobes. Furthermore, our Madeiran customers will be assisted by a specialised team and personalised service.”
For those interested in working at the new IKEA Planning and Ordering Studio in Madeira, and are willing to undergo an intensive training process at the Lisbon units, please submit your application to: ikea.pt/trabalharnaikea.
