Monte Palace Madeira – Tropical Garden will once again celebrate the Day of the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the Madeiran Communities, on the 1st of July, by providing the region’s residents with free admission into the gardens.
The gardens are open between 09:30 and 18:00 with the last entry at 17:15. All residents who want to take part in the initiative must present proof of residence (current address) at the entrance of the garden.
Access to the garden from Funchal can be done from the Funchal/Monte cable car, via public transport – bus routes 20, 21, 22, or 48-, by taxi or, of course, private car. Car parking is available at the Caminho do Desterro Park (next to the Monte cemetery) and Corujeira Park.
