This week has been a sad week, for the Municipal Canil of Funchal as they have had an influx of abandoned kittens, still too young to have left their mothers.
The situation is serious and has created a lot of extra work for staff as most of the new arrivals are in poor health.
The centre is looking for cuddle buddies (humans) so that the animals can develop their social skills and thus be rehomed as well-adjusted kittens. The kennel can be reached on the number 10 bus (Chamorrah) from Funchal. You will then need to walk from the bus stop to the kennel.
