APRAM – The Port Administration for the Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, were out this morning with cleaning teams at the Funchal Port Recreational Pier. The work was necessary due to the large amount of mud and debris brought down by the rivers in last week’s storm.
The team comprised 11 men and other equipment. Work started last Wednesday due to the rubble dumped in the bay of Funchal close to the Lobo Marinho loading/offloading ramp, in the Recreational Pier of the Port of Funchal, and the Funchal Marina, where two excavators, are currently being used to remove the debris.
